Getting There

To get to Cathedral Valley Campground, take HWY 72 north of Loa to Forest Service Road 206 and head east for approximately 10 miles. There will be a road heading north at this point. Turn north for about half a mile and the campground will be on your left.

  • This is an excellent backcountry campground in Capitol Reef National Park. It is somewhat remote and was nearly empty when we stayed here.

  • It is a great drive to the small and remote Cathedral Valley campground in the far northern part of Capitol Reef NP.  Use the Hartnet Road or the Cainville Wash Road and your high-clearance truck to get hear.
