Getting There
The Exit Glacier Trail starts at the Exit Glacier Nature Center. To get to the Exit Glacier Nature Center, turn onto the Herman Leirer/Exit Glacier Road at mile 3 of the Seward Highway. The 8.6 mile road to the Exit Glacier Area is paved, making it easily accessible to all types of vehicles. Taxi/shuttle service is available from Seward.

This trail is a must do if you are visiting Seward. It is only a short drive the view across the Ice field is amazing! The hike is steep and the eleavation gain is brutal, you will feel it the next day. The visitors center is small but very informitive.
