Bootleg Campground is located north of Bridgeport. From Bridgeport, drive approximately 22 miles north on Highway 395. Campground is on left hand side of highway in Walker Canyon.

Bootleg is a big and busy campground favored by anglers because the Walker River is just across US 395. Chris Flat CG is smaller, across 395, and right on the banks of the Walker.
Bootleg is one of two USFS campgrounds along Highway 395 and the West Walker River to the south of Walker, California. Bootleg is a large campground and sits uphill and to the west of Highway 395. It has paved access roads, paved parking areas, hardened pads for the table and raised barbecue grill. Many of the sites can accommodate larger RV's.
