Mesquite Springs campground is much smaller and less crowded than the camps farther to the south. Although out of the way, it is near Scotty's if your interested in visiting his castle.

This is a nice alternative to the more crowded campgrounds around Stovepipe and Furnace Creek. It is a mile or so off the main road which offers a more "out there" experience. This is also a handy spot to drop into to fill up with water if you are backcountry camping.
