The Emerald Pools trail takes you 500 feet uphill into a cool, forested side canyon with overhangs, waterfalls, and small pools. Make loop hike starting from the Zion Lodge, cross the river on the bridge and head north to the pools.

Everything in Zion is beautiful. The Emerald Pools was absolutely one of my most favorite spots to sit and take it in. The hike is pretty easy, just a few little spots to get over some rocks. I did it in my maryjane crocs! Hahahaha.
I saw older folks doing it and kids. I did it towards the end of summer in September when the weather wasn't too bad and the park wasn't suuuuper crowded. I love coming down a mountainside trail and seeing water.
