First of all, thank you everyone for your help. I pulled out the batteries and had them tested and discovered one was bad while the other is still good. I pulled off the vent below the furnace to verify that it wasn't wired for a quick charge and it is not. The converter is the Iota DLS-30.

I am currently awaiting the arrival of the IQ4 to install. Once I install it I follow your troubleshooting tips Old Crow.

Wodpof-

Any further thoughts on this?  I've been struggling to pinpoint a propane-like smell for a couple years now which seems to be getting worse and recently triggered the carbon-monoxide detector on my 2015 Hawk.  I would love to know if the battery switch resolved your issue long-term.

Thanks!
