We took the grandkids and my brother in law camping this weekend at Lake Jocassee and I made a video to show them how the Alaskan lowered... they were still sleeping when I was packing up to head home.

Pretty cool. I bet the grand critters enjoyed the magic.

The front cargo carrier worked great. It was the first time that I used it and it gave me some counterweight and it was out of the way.  My wife and her brother stayed in the '56 Shasta, the 3 grandkids in the '73 Shasta, and I had the Alaskan as my own private getaway.  Our next trip will be in August to Hiawassee, Ga. minus the kids and brother.

I use the receiver for a 4 bike carrier I've modified for the front...they are handy

(and the ferry's to Canada don't measure it as extra length either)....
