Have a 2011 Raptor, stock 315 70 17s D KOs were taken off at 70k, had 6/32 left, rain and snow performance was worsening. Replaced with KO2 E have 19k on these with no wear from new measurement. Son replaced stock tires on 4 runner trail premium with KO 2s E rated had no measureable treadwear at 35k, now at 55k the siping is starting to disappear. Manager at Discount Tire tried to discourage E rated on 4 runner, handling much better than stock C rated. Border Patrol went to E rated KOs a while back due to cut resistance. We are both very happy with the tires. Both vehicles are relatively light which I presume is why we get such longevity from the tires. Have C rated KO2s 285s on a JKUR same results, will replace with E when needed.

Just came across this older thread of tire selection. I'm in the middle of changing the tires that came with my new 2019 tundra.  While I had KO2's on my last truck this discussion has made me realize the Toyo or Coopers need consideration as well. Since this set of post is older I was wondering if folks would share their current thinking and evaluation. Thanks in Advance.

Submitted post #62 a little over a year ago. Tread still wearing well on the Toyos, but I do notice increased road noise/hum. I’m happy with these tires.

I have used Toyo tires for years and they are good, but I believe my Cooper AT3s are better.  Less noise, solid construction, good wear and most of all excellent traction and durability over nasty terrain.  10 ply and at 60psi; crawled White Rim and much of southern Utah this spring and they took it all and never lost a Psi....deep sand, sharp rock and ledges....'05 Tundra/'16 Hawk.

Ps..Coopers are made in USA I believe.

Happy with my Coopers so far. Wearing well, ride nicely. Perhaps a bit limited in snow.

I have 40,00 miles on my latest KO2's and measured the wear, and it is minimal.  At this rate I will get at least another 20,000.

I have been over some pretty bad rocks this year with no problems.  Don't like their grip on wet pavement without camper but that is typical of any all-terrain tire I have had.

Considering the reviews I may try Coopers next time around. The Maxx has a tough to find size I’m interested in...255/85-16.

First Trip with Cooper AT3's and I have to say I'm impressed. Road quietly on pavement, did well in rain braking and had excellent traction along an old forest road. So far so good! obviously more miles needed to be confident of these tires. Thanks all, for the advice and feedback.
