SOLD - 2017 Four Wheel Camper FWC Shell Pop-up slide-in pickup camper with Side Dinette, Furnace, stovetop, Fridge, solar, etc. Available immediately; avoid the current 23 week (nearly 6 month) order wait. Located in Bozeman, MT.

We purchased this new in 2017 and ordered to our spec. It is in excellent shape. We take great care of our things. Always stored inside garage/shop when not in use and with the camper top stored popped-up during the off season. We chose to start with the shell and order factory options to include side dinette, furnace, flush stovetop, etc. to keep the entire rig lighter, eliminate plumbing, and so we could add an Engel MT45 top load fridge/freezer. Top load fridges are far more efficient than a front load fridge. The extra platform underneath the fridge allows for storage and easier access. The fridge can still be opened with the camper top in the down position.
I chose to purchase and install an aftermarket solar setup rather than ordering solar from the FWC factory because I wanted to use better components. I added a Solar Cynergy 180 Watt 12V Monocrystalline Solar Panel, Deltec 100 Amp 100 millivolt current Shunt, 30 amp breakers, Bogart Engineering SC-2030 solar controller and Trimetric TM-2030-RV programmable battery monitor. In bulk charging mode, this setup will generate 7 to 8 amps per hour in summer's mid-day sun.

The two batteries used are Exide fp-agm24dp 75 Amp AGM for a total of 150 amps. I exchanged emails with a senior engineer at Exide battery to get the ideal Trimetric settings for Bulk, Absorption and Float charger programming. The solar typically has the battery replenished by mid-morning. Battery pack has never been below 70% State of Charge (SOC) and typically doesn't drop to below 85% SOC. A small battery tender keeps batteries floated at 100% in the off season. Camper has provision for connection to truck alternator and FWC installed that wiring on my pickup when the camper was purchased, but I leave the wires disconnected under the hood of the truck because because the solar charges so well. Good idea to have it wired and available for backup, though, so I left it.

The bed cushions have never been slept on and were stored in our second bedroom. We used a memory foam pad that we already had. Note: The light spot, on the bed cushion in the picture, was from sunlight during the photo; it's not a blemish. Camper has factory thermal pack to help with insulation (warm and cold) and furnace keeps it toasty warm in low temps. We've camped down to 19 degrees. The over-cab bed pulls out to king size so a couple can sleep front-to-back rather then side-to-side which avoids crawling over one another to get in and out of bed. Another benefit is being able to reach the furnace thermostat from bed.

This unit is the "Shell" model with factory add-ons such as side dinette, furnace, stove top, etc. It does not have a sink or water tank (so no need for winterization and no risk of freeze damage). We used portable water bottles/jugs which allowed us to scale what we brought depending on the trip length. There is an appropriately-sized floor cubby in the back if one chose to purchase and bring a portable toilet.

Items in this build are listed below (minus installation chargers).
