Is anyone able to use their bed power plug? Specifically in an F150/Hawk. Ordering a truck soon and trying to decide if I should get the 2.0 kw upgraded power with a plug in the bed or the standard 400w power in the cab package. Thanks in advance.

An FYI... I have F250 with Hawk made for it. If I had the ports I would not be able to add or remove a plug. Would probably be able to leave an extension cord plugged in but not even sure of that? If just for charging the Camper, when needed, you could possibly hard wire some how?

We have a Tacoma with the bed outlet. I ran an extension cord from the bed outlet to an outlet in the camper. You can see what I did here: https://travelswithr...ter-outlet.html

It requires the truck ignition to be on which is a bit inconvenient. It is a nice feature to have but we have not used it a lot. It only provides 400 watts. We also have an outlet connected to the shore power circuit which we use to run the fridge to cool it at home before we leave on a trip.
