We've been doing our best to enjoy the fleeting fall here in Vermont.  Day hikes with a few overnights thrown in where we can get them.  The leaves are all gone here and we're now into 'stick season', but I'm a bit behind and catching up on photos and videos.  Our first two parts are posted on our website, part 1, early fall, and part 2 which is around the peak.  I'll get part three up in the next few days, but it may be after we return from our next trip out (priorities!).

Part 2: https://www.occident...nt-2022-part-2/

Was "up there" in August roaming around Vermont/NH...loved it.  Your report brings back great memories.

Yes, we've heard a lot about mud season.  Looking at the list the spring of deception followed by third winter may turn out to by my least favorite.  It does surprise me to not see stick season on that list though - everyone knows about stick season!

Howdy

Did you say Tick Season ? My sister in laws greatest lament after 30 years in Norwich, VT concerned the advance of the common deer tick north across the Vermont woodlands.

Deer ticks and Lymes disease are a very real threat now.

Of course, nowhere is without some challenges.
