Take the negative for the BVM and move it to the other side of the shunt with the load and MTTP.

One side of the shunt should only have the negative to the camper battery and the other side has all the other grounds.

Ok I was looking at the drawing and the BVM is not on the negative post but a small hookup wire on the side of the shunt?

Thanks, pvstoy - I got it figured out.  I updated the image diagram a bit, and hope it is helpful for someone else considering wiring a Hawk for solar.  Red is positive, black is negative.

Best

Looks clean. Now that I have been reasearching Victron BVM I now understand that is a phone plug in wire set from the shunt to the BVM. Thanks for the diagram.

Cool - both the MPPT and BVM are Victorn products.  I saw your other post regarding wiring and it looks like a few folks suggest the Victron products.  I'm pleased with the set-up.

I have a Victron Smart MPPT 100/30 controller and accidentally touched some wires together while moving it and think I may have shorted it.

For those mentioning it has a fuse... where?? Inside?

Thanks

A search for 'fuse' in this manual says:

(Page 12)

Charger Does Not Function:  Reverse battery connection:   Non replacable fuse blown. Return to VE for repair.

and (page 13)

Protection: Battery reverse polarity (fuse, not user accessible), PV reverse polarity, Output short circuit, Over temperature...

.

Thanks Old Crow

This was a dummy thing on my end, kinda

Had everything apart and forgot the FWC wiring is backwards for the Zamp so I connected it wrong.

Forgot all about that, switched it around and all is well
