Years ago I did some fishing on the Williamson from the County park down to the 97 bridge.
Didn't catch anything but saw great fish.

Frank, one of my friends caught and released a 36” fish right at the Wagon Wheel. Be careful in that stretch, there are deep potholes in tannin dark waters. Use a staff or float your hat.

I really liked fishing the upper area where you see the lava bottom.
We stayed a couple nights at the old train station converted to a rental.
Fishing in the river in front was OK but deep spots.
Not fond of deep water, anything above the knee NO,NO.

My nephew with secret fish in secret location. I believe it was caught today.
Since no one took the bait. The secret fish is the mule of artificial fish. A cross genus hybrid of brown trout (Salmo trutta) and brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis). The thing is called a tiger trout by Nevada Fish & Game. The good thing about them is the inability to reproduce - like a mule - and they cannot overpopulate or bred with other trout or char.
