Hey Everyone,

My wife and I did a quick trip down to San Felipe for the weekend.  I heard about this place that took about 1.5 hours off road excursion then about a 1.5 mile hike up a canyon.  As we got up in the canyon we found running water and some pools of water.  Ended up going swimming before we hiked back.

Camped on the beach 3 miles south of town.  $40/night was a bit steep but they had flush toilets and freshwater showers.

Man, I used to go down to San Felipe in the 80ies... so different but still a cool place.  South of SF at Puertocitos (sp?) used to be the end of the road and it was a trek just to get there.

Yep, Remember how rocky and tortuous the road was to Puertocitos and Gonzaga Bay?!  Paved all the way now.  Zip down there in a cadillac if you want!  Still wild and pretty though!
