mermaid... incredible. Nice to see you kept your cool. I lost mine last weekend. We were in a campground and had generators running on both sides of us. We moved sites the next morning. New guys shows up and has music playing loud while setting up his site. I said some not nice things I later wished I hadn't. Had to patch it up later, and he turned out to be a great neighbor for the remainder of the stay. Still learning how to be a wise old fart instead of a crotchety one.
It seems music is verboten in a campground while generators are not. The last time we asked someone if they really needed to run the generator all evening he drove his truck around the loop several times honking his horn and sent the camp host to tell me my guitar playing was too loud. I really think all campgrounds need to be generator segregated and that anyone running a generator in a campground so they can watch TV (that tell-tale blue glow) needs re-education (pretty much an entire campground population was conspiring to disable a generator one night - we left dozens of nasty notes on the windshield instead 'cause some of us have a conscience and/or a fear of retaliation/punishment) The reality is that I rarely stay in a campground and I have left an already paid for site on more than one occasion. That is the extent of my "wisdom".
