Vermont is a great state.  My aunt and (deceased) uncle have a place in Weybridge, outside Middlebury.

We've been back a few times and love it.

Best wishes to your eastern relocation, Mr. Occidental!

Thanks all.  And goinoregon, well, there's a few years worth of trip ideas on the website.  When you work through the ones that look good we may just be back creating more by then!

Good luck with the move...sounds more like travels.....be here, be there, be somewhere else.

I can understand wanting to leave BENT for a few decades.........

But it does get cold in the green mountain state.....that where we earned Toyota truck thermometers do register minus numbers.

Believe it or not, we learned that in California. Bridgeport. Something like 9 below around 10 AM as we were headed north from a DVNP trip. I took a picture of the dashboard. Will go look for that.

Welcome to the eat coast! Vermont is a glorious state... You will love the slow paced charm. A Lot to discover in all the little 'shires'. If you have any questions ... we live in Western Mass just on the border with Vermont. Most folks in the Berkshires feel more Vermonter than Eastener Mass. PM me with any questions about things and enjoy.
