I have tried files sized at 10KB and very small, less that 99 pxiels and 4KB, and none will import. I click the import button and the first part of the file name appears next to the button, but the photo doesn't show in either window on that page. No logical or illogical combination of selections seems to make any difference.

I had a similar issue several years ago when I joined WTW. Found a help thread on the issue that was of no help. Finally stumbled upon some combination of things that produced the non-standard size of avatar you can see. I was keeping notes for awhile on what I was doing, but didn't continue with the notes as the frustration mounted.
After getting something, anything to show up I decided to stop trying. Good luck, keep trying.

I've never had trouble adding/changing my profile photo in the past -- and I do it twice a year (I have a winter avatar and a summer avatar). Back in March I successfully changed from snow-covered big sagebrush to cholla.
However, just now I tested to see if I have a problem and I wasn't able to change the photo. I removed my current photo and have been unable to add back the one I removed.
Seems like a bug has cropped up...or?

OK, I found a way to make it work, using the second option but still failing on the first.
The option of "Import a photo from a URL" worked, but "Upload from file" seems broken.
I started by uploading the image file to my personal website (any photo-hosting site would do, including a WTW gallery), and then I entered the URL (web address, e.g., "http://www.....jpg.") of the image in the appropriate field.
That worked.

MarkBC, thanks for helping out with your great visuals. Others - Mr. BC has reported this problem to the "higher ups" here at WTW so we'll see what the issue is.
