It is beautiful but to expensive for my tastes. Lots of other beautiful places in America to live.... I'll just visit with my out of state tags so I don't get slammed with ridiculous fees just to drive a pickup.

I lived in LT for 30 years, early on they started giving grief over this, I went Carson city and registered as a 

rv and didn't have problem, i know several people that register in S. Dakota and have their rv's parked in cali.for years and years. Of course they're gone a lot in the nice weather.

Just to get this back on topic. I did get my truck finally registered as non-commercial. This involved some long and frequent conversations with the bank to send the title over to DMV. The bank (Chase) kept insisting that they dont really have a physical copy of my title, that it is all digital, therefore they have nothing to share with the DMV. Finally, they did send the title over to the DMV and the rest was straightforward. DMV sent the bank the title back and I saved myself $150 atleast a year. 

Now I have to remember to never take the camper off!
