I have a 2001 four Wheel Hawk camper and would like to install two forty watt solar panels on the roof. Would this year of camper have the roof prewired and if so where would I find the wires. it's -20 outside with a foot of snow and ice on the camper today or I would climb up and look.

Thanks

Stan's post (#4) in this thread says pre-wiring for solar started in mid-2005 for some, then for all models in 2006

It could also have been done earlier than that if requested by a customer.   Stan's post tells you where to look for the wires (behind the front lift panel, driver side).   If no solar pre-wire, you'll see a yellow and black pair only. If you have solar pre-wire, you'll see a second pair-- red and black.

Ben Burnett's post (#9) in this thread says FWC campers from 01 and back were definitely not prewired for solar.

Also-  for those interested in history of solar panel brands used by FWC- see Stan's #12 post in that latter thread.

Not sure but they weren't doing it in 2004.

Thanks, it is suppost to warm up on the weekend. I will shovel off the snow and pop up the top and look to see if it has black and white wires.

I recall being told by Terry Budd in early 2014, when inquiring about solar pre-wiring on our 2007 FWC Keystone, that prior to 2007 solar pre-wiring varied from model to model. After about 2007 - 2008 they started pre-wiring all campers for solar.

They checked their build records and he was able to tell me that our camper was pre-wired as well as where to look and how to find the wires.
