Please post pictures.  I've followed the pitting issues elsewhere on another site but thought it a very localized event.  As an owner of a 2018 10 ft Alaskan Cabover I'm acutely interested in your comments.  I worked closely with Brian Wheat while ordering our Alaskan and found him to be highly reputable in all regards so my hope is for more transparency from all regarding this.  Thanks again for posting.

Cheers...Lloyd Anderson

PS...my Alaskan shows no signs of what is happening with yours but maybe it's just too soon.

Hello Lloyd. Bugle’s Oct. 2018 post just about says it all. Our situation and feelings completely. Think your 2018 may have the new windows but you should check. I think B. Is a typical salesman - pleasant while you are a buyer but not so much when you have issues. Alaskan should have at least contacted owners with the defective windows! Brian admitted to me in an email that they finally tested the windows to prove to the manufacturer that they were defective. So he has admitted the problem but has offered no compensation to clients.

I know this is an old thread BUT I’ve asked my NUC coatings lvl III Homie to look into an anode that may help. Brian said basically “Ja it has a lot of different metal there so electrolysis happens” words to that effect. I have to assume Alaskan has looked into this. But She may find a an answer I will definitely post if she can figure out a good solution.

I’ve sealed all the pitting I can find, also the windows with 732. Run a dehumidifier and heater @68° 24/7, my moisture sensor says I went down to 10% from 97% in my top section fore of the side window. I live near the Capitol of the republic of west WA so it is perpetually moist here. My 14 8.5CO lived in LA until I picked her up. Hopefully I can keep this at bay until I can get her in to the shop for repairs

I have a 2014 with the same issues. Not sure what to do. thinking about sailing it. I live in Florida and it sits outside in the elements. I use it alot to camp on my property in NC. hate to get rid of it but I think it will lead to bigger problems.
