Thank you, Happyjax.

Like everything else, cameras do it no justice as to the depth of it all.

Sorry for the abrasive attitude. It's just, with the way some are so quick to comment on the silliest of topics here, "beating a dead horse" and such ... it seems as though somebody would AT LEAST comment on how well the area is conducting itself in the face of an uncertain future. No looting ... even when the cameras are dissecting every opportunity to record it.

Thanks to all who said a prayer or gave or is planning on helping in any way. I guess comments and reassurance of help really aren't needed.

Yes I agree the areas have conducted themselves well.

This wasn't like 2005, Katrina where even though there seemed to be enough advanced notice there were a lot of problems.

It's great how lots of institutions came together to help.

It's going to be a very long process for recovery and all the government units need to come together

as a one working unit to help all the citizens of the area.

My wife and I gave blood this week and have contributed in other ways. Most of my wife's family are in the Houston area, Houston, LaMarque, Victoria and they all made it through with only trees down. A close friend lost everything, house and cars as a result of the 2 dams being open. They were evacuated with 5' of water inside their home.

There are many ways people are helping and do it out of a sense of pride for their state and our country. It brings people together.

Any negativity needs to be left out of this post. jd
