I've been searching for a 90 Degree SAE plug/adapter and can't find one.  You got a source/link for one?

FWC gave me one in the little goodie bag they gave me along with the different manuals, hose adapters and blow out plug. FWC may be able to get one for you if you give them a ring. Good luck!

was at FWC Woodland on Monday,  I was picking up my camper that had been repaired.  I saw this install and really liked it.  I had not looked or read about solar installs for years and was surprised that they have gone to all flexible panels.  I just remember the nightmare I had with the first gen Renogy panels.  These panels and the install looked nice.

To me that panel installation looks beefy, but kind of crude for a factory installation.

The panels in your pic are a totally different style, tho..  Those probably weigh about 30lbs each, while giving about 100 watts each.  While the new panels weigh about 8lbs each, including the aluminum frame, and are 160 watts each.  New panels probably sit at about 1/2 the height as the old ones.  Less wind resistance.   Maybe not quite as nice looking as the old style glass panels.  But worth it.

However, you are correct.. The work is a bit sloppy.  A better comparison would be between FWC's new panel install and mine or someone else here on the forum who built their own flexible panel frame more neatly.

Two panels at 25 lbs, 200 watts, and $300 each. Renogy rigid panels. So 50 lbs and 400 watts added to the roof. I changed my front and rear lift struts to 40 lbs from the original 30 lbs, and I have to pull the roof down except for the last 1/3 of its travel. Lifting is about the same effort as the original configuration (slightly more in the first few inches of lift) in the front, and slightly easier in the rear.

I agree keeping the roof weight as low is possible is desirable. My wife struggles to initially lift the front. If I was sending her on a trip alone I’d probably temporarily pull off the front panel.
