When I look access a thread/topic ie; Pop up alert, the thread starts with original post from 2011, to see most current post I need to click on forward arrow numerous times to get current post. Is there a trick to get most recent post first?

Try tapping the bullet to the left of the title, or the >> icon at the end of the Pages line within the thread.
It may also be browser dependent.
