Camp shopping in the great North

Howdy

We are lucky enough to be spending Christmas in Victoria and wondered if there are any great Canadian camping, truck or outdoor stores to look for ?

I always enjoy seeing different solutions to the same problem and even Canada Tire stores have camping gear seldom seen in the lower 48.

Its a different world out there.

While I have not been to their storefront, I've bought stuff online from Peden 4 Wheel Drive in Sydney. They were great to deal with. No idea what their physical location may be like though.
their is also a Mountain Equipment Co-Op in Victoria.

also downtown are Valhalla Pure, Robinsons Outdoor, and Ocean River Sports

In Langford there is Princess Auto (like Harbour Freight)

I will be looking for one of the little hand operated water pumps to fasten directly to 3/5 gallon Alliance jug.

I have seen folks using them in CA campgrounds but seldom in the states.

MEC, Capital Iron Works (been around for years--has great value), Mark Work Wear House for clothing. I love Canadian Tire, especially in the smaller towns--amazing stuff, I once found a birch bark moose call in Merritt. Homesick as hell.
