I should elaborate on the reason why I'd never buy an aluminum bodied truck. I saw an aluminum Ford short bed in a body shop where a friend works. It was literally brand new, they'd caught it on something and created a tear in the body skin an inch long near the tail light. They couldn't fix it, the whole bed had to be replaced. This is a shop that can weld aluminum and my friend was sent to a week long seminar on fixing aluminum body panels. Ins. Co. wouldn't go for it, they required it be replaced.
