UPDATE - its now 42 days after the wreck

Second check from the insurance company arrived. This was the payoff for the Ranger. Still waiting on the check for emergency expenses, which were all approved, but the "check's in the mail" according the the adjuster. Still haven't agreed on personal property amount yet.

My medical bills (ER, X-rays, MD visit, & PT) are being paid directly to the healthcare facilities, the big healthcare system (BCM) wasn't pleased waiting for the money, they emailed me stating I had to  pay them and get reimbursed citing their policy that they don't bill auto insurance companies, so I said I would be happy to submit the bill to the auto ins company for them and tell the the Ins Co to pay BCM directly, which I did. They weren't happy, but I emailed them that had been fine with all the other providers and my policy was not to pay for something that someone else was responsible for.

side note, isn't it amazing that big companies think they can unilaterally make policies and individuals can't.

Anyway, the Ins company's medical adjuster has been very easy to work with.

I hadn't thought of coverage just for the camper before.  Anyone else doing this? If so was it through your car insurance co or a separate policy entirely?

Update on my insurance, my renewal is May, so I'm dealing with this now,  I had previously been thru Good Sam, which was using National General Ins, I am switching to Foremost. I did learn that in order to cover personal property I needed RV insurance on the camper, if covered under my auto policy, I would have coverage on personal property. I had personal property coverage with Good Sam/National Gen. Ins, as well, but hadn't realized that the only way to get it was with RV coverage.

When I use my FWC I am often going fly fishing, so I wanted all that covered. A couple of rods, reels, waders, boots, etc adds up pretty quick. Not to mention my National Luna Refrigerator.

This great info Larry, Thanks! Sorry it has to drag on that long.

BTW, thanks for all your help at Troutfest! When I get mine I’m hoping to pick your brain on your build. If I may. ;)
