Sold: Selling my little used Explorer. In great condition. Includes all items with box. Great communicator to keep the family aware of where you are when out of cell coverage. I used the tracking feature often and works great. Asking $190 shipped via USPS. Paypal friends/family would be appreciated.

Not real knowledgeable about this product. Is there a service that is joined to be able to use it? Is communication via text message.

In a nutshell, there is a subscription that you must activate to use. You can also, pay only for the month of use and leave it dormant during the other non-use months. Communications is via satellite texting. You can also turn on Tracking, which will leave breadcrumbs on a map for your friends and family to follow your adventure.
