WS and PJ, Thanks for the heads up re: dust.
WS, the bed height of the cargo box is not uniform!
Is the flashing on the ARE hatch door flush against the tailgate?
How do you like the 2019 Ranger?

Nope, the forward wall is roughly an inch lower than the side rails and tailgater. When my canopy was installed, it took about 5 layers of 1/4” weatherstripping to bring it up to height.  Maybe the 2020s are level, I haven’t checked.

There are pluses and minuses to the Ranger.  It drives/handles wonderfully.  Plenty of power, smooth and comfortable.  I took it from the Willamette Valley to Tillamook a few days back, and got 26.2 mpg over 210 miles.

I have the crew cab, and that means a 5’ bed.  I don’t like the short bed.  My major complaint is the dash layout.  It’s hard to see what controls are there, so I end up using the LCD touch screen.  A bit less tech and more simplicity would be nice.  The brakes have a different feel than my other truck, so I end up hitting them a bit hard at times.

If I were to buy again, either a super cab with 6’ bed or a F150 CC with 6’ bed would be my choice.

Overall, the Ranger is impressive but not perfect.

There are aftermarket weatherstripping seals, both universal and model specific for most major pickups.

I haven't used them so don't know how well they seal.
