Hello Klahanie, I know its been covered here somewhere, but which elastomeric coating did you use and are you happy with your choice?

^ First time was Mobile Coat by Snow Roof Then when I needed more I used Koolseal which might be the mfrs replacement.

Went on like paint - quite thin, so I initially rolled on maybe 3 coats which meant added time. Prep was a wash and maybe a second go over with a TSP solution. Painters tape for a clean line at the drip edge. No primer. Water wash up. All easy.

 

I've re coated once or twice, more for insurance and esthetics than need. The surface holds dirt and I've managed to scratch it a couple times at the top edge with larger branches - it is not a hard, slick surface like the oem Aluminum.

 

So not a one coat and forget it treatment but I'm happy with it and with the cost.

 

I should clarify that I read that others have coated their roofs but prob they used different products.
