The rear driver side parking light came on randomly. I checked the camper plug in the bed and saw some green corrosion. Cleaned it up and the light went off. A few days earlier I sprayed some electrical anti-corrosion spray on the plug. It was wasn’t the full on taillight, just the smaller side light. 2017 Ram 2500. Anyone ever have a similar issue?

Are you talking about the running lights on the camper?

No. The camper is not on right now. The light was on the truck. The corrosion was on the bed plug for the camper to truck connection.

The fact that it's just one light and not all parking lights, there is a possibility that it is a grounding issue. Check to see if the light is grounded locally(to frame/chassis) or it is in the harness and returns to a main ground buss. Clean grd connection at chassis and/or connectors and inspect wire for nicks or swelling(corrosion) inside the insulation. If you can isolate the ground return in the circuit you could check the wire resistance.

If it reoccurs, you might check the wiring where the installer tied the camper clearance lights into the truck wiring.
