Thanks for the nature tour.

Fun to see/watch all of the nature around us.

On our morning walk we always stop at a large palm to check out the Barn Owls.

For years we haven't been able to catch a view of the baby's.

This year we must be watching at the right time.There are 3 in the nest ,just one poking it's head up today.

 

Also we watch the hawks their nests are harder to spot. This one was searching for food and I thing it had raided a jay nest.

 

So much nature all around us.

Thanks that was my thought on the hawk.

We have several different hawks around,Red tail,Red shoulder and the Coopers.

The Coopers seem to be very shy and their nests are very hard to fine.

We have lucked out and have seen them flying and happened to be going to nest.

Great fun to watch.

Also watching a Barn Owl nest with at least 3 chicks.

The owlets are getting bigger and moving around more.

No room in the nest for mom and dad now.

It makes us feel more complete watching nature's life cycles and wildlife around us. How can people go without this connection? How sad so few are even aware.

Nice stuff Frank and so good to see the ocean! I could hear the surf and gulls while viewing your photos. So nice for you it is quiet with few people, the opposite of here. People are rushing in. Traffic is awful. It is crazy.

Ski we are also seeing more people around but things seem to be calm.

You have the "lakes". We live about 3 miles from the beach and a lot of the time when the surf is running big we hear the pounding.
