[RONR]

I need to replace the faux wood tape that FWC uses to finish the edges of cabinets and other various interior features.  Does anybody know the actual name of this tape and the color?  And the big question is: where might one get something like this?  I can't find anything that's 1/2 inch on Amazon.  

 

If all else fails, I'll see if I can get ahold of FWC and ask them but thought I would start here.

I got some from ATC a while back, but it is most likely not the same color that FWC uses.  It has a heat sensitive adhesive and is is applied with a heating iron.

You apply a larger size and then trim to fit after applying with an iron as K60N says.

Wow! Who knew? Thank you both. I would have never guessed it was heat applied. And cutting it to size makes sense. Now I’ll have to figure what kind of color (wood) it is but I’ve already narrowed it down to two colors. From my quick look on the internet, it’s not expensive. Thanks again.

Where you going to these days Ron?  I've been trying to find new fly fishing destinations around here.  Waiting for your arrival! :-)  We're headed out today for some camping and hopefully some fishing.  Stay Safe!

 

BTW, I need some of that faux wood stuff too but will contact FWC or ATC.  Mine's pretty minor and a 2001 Eagle.  We spent 130+ days in it last year!

All my planned fishing trips have been cancelled, but putting together some more. Off to northern Nevada next week but no fishing. I’ll send you an email because I’d love to get over to you this summer to do some fishing.

I used an old household clothes iron I use for waxing skis. Yes, I cleaned it first.

I borrowed a proper iron when I did mine so I don't know if a regular iron would work in it's place.  Maybe Ski would know??..

All it needs is heat and pressure. Regular old clothes iron works fine, but of course you have a lot of extra material to practice with to get your technique down.
