Does anybody have any plans or ideas or maybe a youtube link for a front dinette addition to my Hawk Shell?  Seems like if I just added a table and post in the front and sat on the existing bench it would be too high so I might need to build a box to mount the table post on to get the right height.  Also don't want to cover up the access to the tie down opening.

I live in the middle of nowhere so I can't just go to a dealer and take clandestine photos on my iphone and grab a few measurements from a finished Hawk or I would do that.

Thanks

We have a factory installed front dinette. We love the storage. That is where we store our clothes. Not sure where your front turnbuckle doors are located. Ours are vertical and are located on the shelf. They are inside the seats. They build a raised area between the seats so your feet aren't dangling. This platform floor is also a storage area for those that didn't get an inside shower. I would visit a dealer so you can check the construction and get your measurements. Good luck. Post pictures of your build. jd

I have a front dinette in my Hawk. I'll take some measurements for you and post. Its supposed to rain here today, so it might be a couple of days before I get to it. Longhorn1 gave a good description of the setup.

We moved our roll-over couch to the back of the camper, built a small step upon which to mount our table leg, and made a small table top.  It was a simple combination and we love it.

I hope you can read the tape measure. I had to lower the resolution to post pics here, but it solved the problem of trying to describe what measurement corresponded to which portion. Even lowering the rez, I have to split into two posts.

This is not a factory dinette, but very close, it was done by a friend. Hope this helps, if you can't read the tape measure, PM me and I'll send the high rez photos to you.

Mine is different than Larry's. If his was factory installed it may have to do with the truck. I have a 2013 F250/Grandby. Our bench seat extends approx. 6" above the carpeted area and the turnbuckle door is on the horizontal surface, so I have to lean over the front edge of the seat and reach straight be down to reach the turnbuckle. I'll try to get you a photo shortly. I have taken a picture and tried numerous times to upload and it has failed. I have reduced the size, and cropped it and it fails evertime. Afraid I'm at a loss. jd

Can you take a picture of the front turnbuckle door, I am not getting where it is.

Thanks for the photo, I have not decided on what to do for the dinette and I like the idea of having the seats for storage and the turnbuckle access looks good.
