This is a cool project.  Are you making this as a flatbed camper?

Yes this project is for a flatbed. This is our truck that we put a flatbed on the summer of '19 so we could add more storage to our Lance camper. It worked out well. The doors on the storage compartments we added to the Lance drop down making workbench or counter space which is super handy and will be missed. Maybe we'll add something to the exterior of the project rig to serve that purpose.

I got the ceiling panels installed yesterday and painted this morning so I went back to working on the door seals. I'm installing the v type weather seal from a residential door and I think it's going to work great.

The door trim and weather seal is done and painted. It sealed up pretty good and doesn't look too bad for my first attempt at making a door.

I cut in some soffit vents that were left over from house construction. With a coat of black paint and some silicone to seal the perimeter, they look almost like a factory install. They're there to vent the propane and diesel compartment.

I used this corner seal tape to cover the top of the wall around the perimeter. It has a pressure sensitive adhesive and a permanent bond.
It'll keep any condensation from soaking into the wall and soften the edges that the liner will lay over when the top is down.

Learning how to bend conduit for the roof lift. Four sticks gone and I'm still an apprentice. I got four more sticks today. Fingers crossed I'll get it right this time.

The funky shape was just an attempt to figure out the corner formula.
