I am a brand new member here - because I am the brand new owner of a 2008 hallmark guanella.

I’d like to replace the mattress and I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I was thinking about going with a Froli travel system and then a thinner latex mattress. The arms for the poptop do make an imprint in the stock 6 inch hallmark mattress. Any thoughts or ideas for a noob?

Hey Jumbo,

I just bought the same camper. What are you planning on using to keep it attached to your truck?

Thanks

I bought it connected to a truck, so I am using the standard turnbuckles that came with it.

‘Hi Jumbo. Welcome to a great forum.

I have a 2016 Everest. Our mattress is only about 4” thick. I installed a Froli air suspension system and it has been fantastic I can highly recomend it. In fact we are 30 days into a 90 day trip and have never slept better!

You might want to call Bill at Hallmark and see if he has any suggestions for you.

Just to close this out, bought an Ikea “meistervik” mattress on sale for less than 200. All latex and very firm like i prefer...

What's wrong with the mattress that came with the camper? We're using the original mattress in our 2008 Guanella and it's as comfortable as anything we've ever slept on (including our Keetsa pillow-top mattress at home), firm enough to be kind to our backs.

Let's just say the the previous owner did not take care of the mattress and leave it at that.
