Hey everyone! I unexpectedly have to go to Ramona ca, July 5th. I've never camped in so cal so I was hoping you guys could suggest somewhere near there where we could utiliz our new camper. And hopefully dog friendly! We're coming from sonoma county. And if anyone has any suggestions for somewhere along the way back also I'd love to hear suggestions.

Hmm Anza Borrego is awesome, but it’ll likely be super hot. Julian is a cool little mountain town with great apple pie and I imagine you can find a place to camp somewhere around there. I used to live in SD, but never really explored the Cleaveland NF much, sorry. There’s also Big Bear a bit further to the North. Check out 3N16 there probably.

Checkout Sunrise Hwy S1 off 79.  There are several dispersed sites off of it.
