I didn't find any info about this online.

I want to figure a way to lift the roof about 2/3 of the way open and have it be secure in that position. This is so I can work on the FWC in my garage. It seems like the lift panels will keep the roof located side to side but not front to back without the canvas sides being tight and triangulating (or whatever you'd call it) the whole thing.

I'm picturing 4 squares of plywood, 2 on each side, supporting the roof between the frame top and roof edge, on the inside of the camper. This should prevent the roof from moving front to back while the lift panels locate things side to side.

Short of a large earthquake (possible) I think this would work and not damage anything.

Has anyone tried to do what I'm trying to do?

Thanks!

That idea should work,as long as you aren't going up on the roof.

Do you have"roof lifters"? If so you may have to disconnect them at one end so the roof doesn't continue to raise.

I don't have the lifters, but may want them before long.

Thanks for the reply!
