Hi there!  I'm new to the Alaskan camper world but excited to be here. I have a 2003 8.5' Alaskan that  I was getting ready for a trip today when I noticed that my clearance lights were on.  The truck was not running and my head lights were off.  I went inside the camper and I had no power.  Checked the batteries and they were good.  Battery for the camper is brand new.  When I pug the camper into the shore power the clearance lights go out and I get power back again inside the camper again

Any advice would be much appreciated.  Thanks!

The clearance lights are getting direct power from either the house battery or the truck battery.

If you disconnect the house battery do the clearance lights go off?  If not then the power is coming from the truck battery directly.

Since the battery for the camper is brand new have you checked that wires might have been crossed when the battery was replaced?

You should be able to diagnose pretty quickly.
