Found some time this week to get moving on some projects before we head out to Utah next month.  I've started redoing the electrical wiring, added a fuse block, 100amp/hr battery, & solar controller.  I'll get the panel online next week. I also replaced the furnace blower motor while I was in there since it was noisy. 

I also needed to add a truck mounting system since this was not a traditional truck camper from FWC.  I cut some steel plates and drilled them to back the external mounting brackets and also added doors so I can attach and adjust the turnbuckles from the inside.

We are headed to the Pittsburgh area next week for 3 days so it will be nice to trial things before the big trip.

Suggestions on a camp table we could use outside or inside if it's raining?

Nice find, camper looks to be in great condition.

 

You might be able to get your old water tank professionally repaired, manufacturers use a technique known as "Spin Welding" to attach fittings to molded tanks. Call around to local RV repair places see if one can help you out.

 

We carry a folding aluminum table similar to this one. Lightweight, folds and stores very compactly. We usually use it to hold our stove while cooking, occasionally we'll sit at it while eating. They are available plenty of places - although the pickings might be slim this time of year. I think we found ours at Dick's, REI had the same table at the time for a few more $$.

We got out this week and enjoyed a couple nights in the foothills of PA.

No people, no cell service, just us and some good hikes.

I'm going to be installing a roof rack for solar this coming week so I was measuring and inspecting things up there.  I've seen lots of talk about roof screws but mine appears to be riveted on?  Is that what I'm looking at? I would assume I can drill these out and replace them with screws unless someone has some advice that was in the same situation.  Thanks!

Yep, those are rivets.  Never seen that before.  I also would assume you can drill those out, but that would make a big hole.  I'd leave them in place and make new holes.  I pre-drilled 1/8" holes and used #8 3/4" screws.  Sealed with 3m 4200.  If you put the 3m all along the roof rack rails, the screws are almost redundant!
