I have installed a Blue Sea ML-ACR 7622. I did not install the remote that comes with it. You can manually operate The ACR right on the unit itself. Problem is the remote indicates the status of the unit with LED lights. I do not know how to tell if it’s working without the remote. Can someone help me understand how to tell.

Funny you should mention this. I was testing same thing yesterday!
Only difference is that I have Blue Sea model 7611.
It has a clip-on cover that insulates the terminal connections.
If you un-clip and remove the cover you will see the "integrated LED which indicates the ACR status (LED is ON when batteries are combined)."
[quote from the 7611's manual]
In my case: I began with truck engine (and charging system) OFF - and then removed cover of ACR - so I could see the integrated LED. The LED was off.
Then I started the truck engine and went back inside camper to see if the LED came on. After short delay (maybe 30 seconds?) I heard a click and the LED came on.

I also have minimal consumer use for my house battery so my power requirements are minimal.
One thing to keep in mind is that if you have LiPo batteries, make sure all you accessories are compatible. From what I’ve read, it makes a difference.

i don't understand why using this isolator vs the 7622 is better? Any isolator system would need breakers of some kind.
