Blue Sea 7622 ML-ACR Automatic Charging Relay. One and a half year old.

$90 plus shipping.

I am going to install the Victron DC to DC charger and was told I don't need it.

Good move.  As you know, that's what I have now.  My experience in camping over the summer... further north than I usually go, and more treed, is that the solar panel can't keep up with my (VERY HEAVY) electrical demands.  I wish I could charge faster with my alternator, but the DC-DC is in there to limit my charging rate to protect both the alternator and the batteries.  

 

I've also seen that the DC-DC gets VERY hot and current limits itself.  I will need to vent the area mine sits in if I want faster charging.
