I'm thinking about puting my Hawk and a severe diet.  To remove the Fiamma awning do I just drill out the rivets on the bottom of the mounting bracket?

If you don’t have the install instructions for your canopy, just look it up on line, and you should be able to get an idea how to take it off. I’m guessing it will be pretty easy.

The awning on my flatbed is through bolted to the camper. Are the slide ins mounted differently?

It looks like the brackets are bolted to the camper. But the awning is mounted to the brackets with rivets?

Yes you can just drill out the rivets.   I replaced the rivets with stainless button head screws/bolts to make the awning removable.

I don't think removing the mounting brackets from the camper would be easy, given all the sealant around them and resultant holes.

Thanks for the replies.  I opened the awning a couple feet, drilled out the rivets, and easily removed the awning. I will use bolts/lock nuts when it goes back on.
