There is nothing like ice. This reminds me of our morning walk about a week ago.
You'd think that delivery folks in freezing areas would be outfitted with Yak Tracks or similar shoe cleats. Heck, the company I worked for bought each employee a pair just to navigate our company parking lot without slipping. (Yeah, I'm sure it was done on the advice of our attorney - to avoid lawsuits by slippers)

Revenge is a dish best served cold... icy cold.
That is too funny.

I live in Sacramento and even I have cleats and lightweight crampons.

Julie shoveled the deck this morning. She is a happy girl.

(I'm at the blue dot)
Crazy forecast! What's remarkable, to a weather nerd like me, is the extreme difference in temperature depending on the wind direction! (note the arrows in the forecast) From the south: tropical hot. From the north...well, can't call it 'arctic cold', but a lot cooler.
Last night I had my front door open until I went to bed, and I kept the windows open overnight... listening to a family/pack of coyotes yelping wildly in the moonlight.

The weather I have to be prepared for in advance is a hard, deep freeze. It's not designed to be a real 4-season rig -- plumbing-wise. I need to drain, clear the lines for that. But in that respect it's no different than my FWC.
Ya know, Mr 3pin, if you and the Lady ever get to be as old as me... you may want to consider such a rig for yourselves!

Did a bit of blade work yesterday, and just now heard the snow plow go by, so I’ll need to go clear the driveway.
