Good morning. I’ve read differing opinions on whether or not to equalize AGM batteries. What’s the consensus for the Wander The West crew?

Thank you, Steve

page 26 of the Rolls battery manual, it says no equalization voltage is even listed, and the requirement is what I would call a "maybe":

"AGM REFRESH CHARGE If Rolls AGM batteries are properly charged they should never require an equalizing charge. If they were not properly charged and there is a decrease in capacity, recharge the batteries and make sure they complete the entire charge cycle."

Okay, it’s four days later and I finally reached someone at Duracell (mfr. of my AGM camper battery). They do not recommend equalizing their batteries. It won’t damage but it’s unnecessary.

Thanks to the members who replied. I appreciate your input.

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Steve.
