Apologizing to everyone who were looking forward to a big post pandemic party.

Last week we decided it was time to let the rig go. It went in 5 days as a package.  Physically I'm Just not in good enough shape to continue camping. It is time to embrace motel camping for the years we have left to explore on the road.

Reprinted from Page Two

I really enjoyed the rally's and meeting everyone over the years. Yesterday I was reminiscing, watching the video of the second SoCal Rally at San Clemente in 2013 (Page 1 bottom of the Build out post).  In the past 42 + years we have been able to do and see all that we have with the kids when they were home (now range from age 45 - 57) and by ourselves after they left the nest

I thought I was going to be able to go well into my 80's, however it wasn't to be. I thank my wife who at the same age with 2 bad knees still would crawl up into the bunk at night, loving every minute of the using it. Good we can both still travel which we plan to do even though we are slowing down.

I had always wondered when I would know when it was time to let it go. For me it was when I hurt my dominant arm (June 2019) and it has never completely healed, and after hip replacement I never will be able to crawl around like a pretzel in it doing all the chores I loved doing as it can dislocate if I move the leg too far in one direction. If I don't have the surgery I can't walk more then one block without limping and needing to sit. No surgery means no cruises and travel.

Also I was feeling anxiety over the thought of me dying first and leaving her with an involved truck and camper combination to spit up and sell separately. Better to do it when I am able. AND because of the crazy RV market it sold at 92% of its 2012-3 purchase price. We had a wonderful 9 years and only lost $3,000 plus  maintenance, TYG.

So we wish everyone wonderful camping experiences in the years to come.

Hi Dak the when is “when” my Eagle Fleet build post  hits 100,000 views.

We don’t have a “where “yet. I’m open at this point.  If Covid is still going on I’m thinking about just over the border into Arizona. There’s an old ghost town about 10 miles north east of Quartzsite. With a lot of flat ground to camp on and something to see when  there because all the buildings are still there.

Count Update

Just checked . Since Jan 2nd you added 213 views. Now its at 81,799 Thank You Thank You.

Was at Walmart today and discovered the Red Beer cups are 18 oz NOT 12 . Using the formula of 82 x 12 divide by 18 = 54. 6 rounded off to 55 cups x 2 pony kegs = 110 cups,

That is a problem because I said their would be 164 FREE cups, so since I'm a prosperous*** guy, I'm adding a

THIRD Pony Keg which gets the count now up to 165 Free Cups !!!

So Editing the original post to 165 FREE  18 oz cups of Beer.

***Some of you have asked how you can increase your prosperity. Read my new Book, "Thank You God...THAT: Using the Creative Power of Gratitude to Manifest your Desires. Amazon Kindle. $2.99 as an eBook.

I would like to check it out but am unable to locate your book sir. Any ideas?

Also, I tried to find your build thread and no joy. Maybe because the app doesn't display your signature at the bottom.

You could get your count way up by making it more visible. I'm sure I'm not alone in not finding it.

Edit: found it. Had to click on your name/handle and then click on "posts" to scroll and search for that thread. Kinda cumbersome imho

River Rat. What browser are you using? I see it in blue, underlined as the very last line in the post.
