On our 2015 Fleet front dinette there is no room in the battery compartment. I mounted it behind the kitchen cabinet front panel. See https://www.wanderth...-2015-fleet-fd/
for photo. Has worked out very well. With Bluetooth, there is no need be able to see the MPPT.
It is well worth connectorizing all of the wiring to the front panel. It takes almost as much time to disconnect and re-wire the panel as it does to add connectors. Connectorizing eliminates re-wiring errors and if you have to go back in, the next time you need to get behind it is fast and a lot easier. FWC should do this - the $30 in connectors would cut a lot more than that off of labor.
