I’ll be curious as how you Segway into Glamping. We must have passed each other in February 2020. We were in DVNP & Alabama Hills. Our only significant adventure last year. Two short trips to the Sierra, one Eastern & one Western. One before the smoke & one later during a brief pandemic lull. Nothing yet this year. Best of luck on the “more to come”.

Not very encouraging to consider a trade up when someone does not even make it off the lot. Good luck with your new RV and may you have a hoard of adventures with it.

After doing some later research the QC problems come with the Thor Brand. So far fit and finish on the Coachmen had been great. Found only two problems on the inspection, one corrected on site and the second one parts were order. The parts ordered do not affect the function. Going to head to Moro Bay area Monday for our first trip.

Looks like Hwy 1 will be closed a long time. going down 5 and will come back up 101 and stop to see a friend in Pajaro. Weather does look good.

I think u mentioned AWD in a previous post. How do you find it being an enhancement, eg. parking & cornering, for overall drivability with an enlarged vehicle? Can you realize a difference?

I think this latest washout will be a big fix.So yes a long time.

Bummer.

Wave as you go by us on your way to Pajaro.

The Ford has what they call smart AWD. Only use when you need it or when you select it.

4 modes

1) Normal. Everyday use computer will adjust drive per traction.

2) Eco. Almost all front wheel drive.

3) Slippery. Adjusted to more AWD and adjusts for less traction.

4) Mudd and Rutts. First gear only. 100% AWD.

5) Tow Haul
