Planning to carry my Grandby on a aluminum flatbed with some toolboxes on either side. Curious if there's any solid info out there on whether diamond plate or extruded is the preferred deck material for off road use?

As I understand it the diamond plate is one large sheet and the extruded comes in "slats" that fit together kind of like flooring. But I have no clue why one would be better than the other, although the extruded is always an extra cost.

I went with 3/16" flat for my mounted full-time 2018 Grandby and have been very happy. It was about $200.00 and 40# more than the 1/8" plate but I've always been a belt and suspenders guy when it comes to off-roading. (Aluminum cross beams were 12" O.C.) for a very substantial build.)
