That rascal Mr. 3Pin got me thinking about chasing Redside Trout in late summer.  The Letort Hopper is a simple fly to tie, and the fish love it.

KG is so great with his carrying on. Thanks for posting, I had just tied up some Pink chubbies, but now need to tie some traditional Letort Hoppers to compensate!

not a fly tying comment, but we went up to the kamloops area a couple summers ago, and had great time catching kamloops trout. we just rowed around a few lakes with fly lines behind.  my bud also had success with dry flies, when some type of hatch came on.  the kamloops are gamers, and can get decent size. the drive up central wash. can be nice if you time it with the cherry season.

“A lake a day while you stay in the Kamloops region!”

That was a popular slogan you heard around there in the 1980’s. Nice place and big, sometimes BIG fish for sure.

Everyone enjoy your hopper fishing, whatever flavor you like. (Insert your favorite happy 😊 here)
