Well I guess it is the "Sagebrush Ocean"....
What? I do not recall granting permission to name that sea that after me!

I haven't looked at this book in a long time. I should... when I get back in the subject territory.

I actually thought about linking Stephen Trimble's masterwork (IMHO) when I used the phrase.

Robins showed up last week. Yesterday it hit 60 degrees outside and we had the house completely opened up. Last week we had Varied Thrushes moving through, the first time we've seen them here. The peach trees are getting ready to blossom. I do expect at least one more cold snowstorm to hit that will kill all the blossoms. We get peaches only every 3 years or so.

Good luck on the peaches, Mr 3pin!... And the cobbler, crisp and ice cream.
A couple of days from now I'll be in 'The Peach State'.

We’re up here in Prineville OR visiting the in-laws. Very windy drive yesterday from Klamath Falls to our destination. Took the dog out last night around 11 pm, snowed on us. Just a bit left on the ground early this morning. Quite a difference from Ventura County!

Actually, a downside of such cool (overnight) temperatures is that the alligators in the nearby Okefenokee Swamp will be less active. I've seen only a few alligators on this visit to The South -- I want to, and the Okefenokee has a big population.

This extremely dry spring persists here. More deer than you can shake a stick at are moving through. Bees are working the blossoms on the peach trees. We washed, polished, and waxed both vehicles.
